some little thing I read a while ago that I meant to put on a while ago... :

I wiil hold you up, God says. But as long as you lean on someone else, you can't lean on Me. As long as you lean on some other thing, you won't lean on Me. They become subsitutes for Me, so that you aren't being upheld by my hand.
